The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested two elderly men for alleged drug trafficking in Abia and Ekiti states.

According to the agency, the suspects—both described as grandfathers—were apprehended in separate operations as part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on illicit drug activities across the country.

NDLEA operatives reportedly recovered prohibited substances from the suspects during the operations, leading to their immediate arrest.

The agency noted that the arrests highlight the growing involvement of individuals across different age groups in drug trafficking networks.

It reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying surveillance, enforcement, and intelligence-led operations to combat the spread of illegal drugs nationwide.

The suspects are expected to face prosecution in accordance with the law.
