Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, has questioned the extent of Nyesom Wike’s political influence, arguing that the FCT Minister’s position could change significantly if he loses his federal appointment.
Speaking on Channels Television, on September 25, 2026, Momodu said Wike may discover that his current influence is closely tied to his position in government.
“The day President Bola Tinubu removes him as minister, he will realise that he is a god with feet of clay,” Momodu said.
