Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed eight suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters while repelling an attack on a military base in Mandaragirau, Biu LGA of Borno state.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, reported that the insurgents launched a coordinated assault on a Forward Operating Base on Saturday.
According to a military source who spoke with the publication, the attackers advanced from multiple directions but were met with troops who had taken ambush positions.
