Shettima Departs Abuja for Angola to Represent Tinubu at AU Summit

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Luanda, Angola, where he will represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).

Shettima said the summit will bring together African leaders and other key stakeholders to discuss practical solutions to regional security challenges, with a focus on conflict prevention and resolution.

The high-level meeting will also examine strategies for promoting lasting peace and stability across Africa, as leaders strengthen collective efforts to address conflicts and security threats on the continent.

Shettima said Nigeria remains committed to working with other African countries to advance peaceful solutions to the continent’s security challenges and strengthen collective efforts toward conflict resolution.
