The Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, in Zamfara on an operational visit to the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force, Operation Fansa Yamma as part of an operational visit aimed at strengthening ongoing military efforts to address security challenges in the region.
On arrival at the Command Headquarters, the CDS was received by senior military commanders and top officers of the operation.
He was subsequently accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour.
The operational visit underscores the Defence Headquarters’ commitment to boosting troop morale and consolidating gains in the fight against banditry and other security threats.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for the Chief of Defence Staff to assess ongoing operations, interact with troops, and review strategies aimed at enhancing security across Zamfara State and the wider North-West
