Former Super Eagles and Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins is set to host the Renewed Hope Football Tournament – PBAT-KOH 2027, an initiative aimed at empowering young Nigerians through grassroots football, mentorship and skills development.

The tournament is being organised in partnership with the Obafemi Martins Foundation and the City Boy Movement, led by Seyi Tinubu. Organisers say the competition will cover Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, creating opportunities for young footballers to showcase their talents.

More than 5,000 youths are expected to participate, with European football scouts expected to attend and identify promising players. Scholarships are also planned for outstanding participants, while the broader initiative will include mentorship, technology and community engagement activities.

According to TVC News, the tournament’s grand finale is scheduled for November 28, 2026, at Onikan Stadium Arena in Lagos State.

The initiative combines grassroots football development with the Renewed Hope political platform associated with President Bola Tinubu. Its organisers say the programme is intended to expand opportunities for young Nigerians through sports, education and skills development.
