Rabiu Umar, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), says Africa needs a regional fuel pricing benchmark that reflects the continent’s expanding refining capacity, enhances market transparency, and reduces reliance on foreign pricing indices.
Speaking during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, Umar urged African countries to establish a fuel price benchmark.
