The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Monday arrived at the venue for the commissioning of the Water Supply Network to Karu Satellite Town, one of the key infrastructure projects being inaugurated under the ongoing FCT Projects Commissioning programme.
According to a media post by the Minister’s Media Aide, Hon. Lere Olayinka, on June 22, 2026, Wike was warmly received by government officials, project stakeholders, and members of the host community as activities marking Day 9 of the commissioning exercise got underway.
It was revealed that the Minister was accompanied by his son, who was seen alongside him upon arrival at the project site. Their presence attracted attention from attendees gathered for the event.
The Water Supply Network to Karu Satellite Town is designed to improve access to clean and safe drinking water for residents of Karu and surrounding communities.
It was gathered that the commissioning is one of several projects being executed under the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at accelerating development and enhancing service delivery across the Federal Capital Territory.
