The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says heavily “armed robbers” invaded its Offa 132kV transmission substation in Kwara state and forced operators to shut down electricity feeders at gunpoint.
In a statement by Ndidi Mbah, the general manager of public affairs at TCN, the company said the attackers forcefully gained access to the control room and held all personnel on duty hostage.
