Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Express Airline and KDN Aero as part of efforts to establish the state-owned airline, Edo Air.

The agreement marks a major step in the state government’s plan to develop its own airline and improve air connectivity. According to Okpebholo, the initiative is expected to create jobs, promote tourism, attract investors and expand business opportunities across the state.

The governor said Edo Air would also make air travel more accessible to residents while opening new economic opportunities for the state.

However, the government has yet to announce the airline’s official launch date, flight routes, fleet size or commencement of commercial operations.
