A video allegedly showing Ozonna Soludo, son of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, expressing support for Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, has generated widespread reactions on social media, prompting the state government to issue an official clarification.

According to a report by The Punch on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Anambra State Government dismissed the video, describing its attribution to the governor’s son as misleading and false.

The footage, which circulated widely online, showed a young man identified as Ozonna dancing to a song promoting Peter Obi. Images of the former Anambra governor and the NDC party logo were also visible in the video.

Reacting to the development, Dan Ezeigwe, media aide to Anambra State First Lady Nonye Soludo, described the video as damaging and called on those responsible for circulating it to stop spreading the footage.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Ezeigwe disclosed that the government was aware of an individual identified as Kelechi Simon, reportedly a medical radiographer from Delta State, who was allegedly involved in producing and distributing the video.

He warned that individuals responsible for circulating misleading information could face legal action, adding that the government was closely monitoring the situation.

The statement further acknowledged that Nigerians have the constitutional freedom to support political candidates of their choice and participate in political discussions. However, it stressed that such freedoms should not be used as an excuse to promote propaganda, misinformation or fabricated reports.

The government also advised social media users to confirm the authenticity of information before sharing it, warning that activities carried out on the internet remain subject to the law.
