Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s defence of government borrowing, describing the position that borrowing is not leprosy as “absolute nonsense.”
According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, October 30, 2026, Obasanjo made the remarks while speaking at the Ajibosin Platform, a public forum held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The event was themed “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Solve Grassroots Problems and Accelerate National Development.”
