Ahead of the 2027 general elections, political commentator and Labour Party chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has alleged that there are efforts to stop former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from contesting the presidency.
Okonkwo reportedly made the claim while speaking about the political developments surrounding the 2027 presidential race.
According to him, Atiku’s ambition is being opposed because of his stated desire to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
However, the claim reflects Okonkwo’s political position and could not independently establish that any group is deliberately working to prevent Atiku from contesting.
