The Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Hon. Bege Joseph Gaiya, and the Sardaunan Ikulu, Alhaji Isma’il Yusuf Ashafa, have expressed confidence that Southern Kaduna will reciprocate the developmental strides and political inclusion under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani by voting massively for them in the 2027 general elections.
The duo gave the assurance on Saturday during the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for President Tinubu’s re-election in Kaduna State.
They maintained that Southern Kaduna had recorded significant development and political recognition under the two administrations, noting that the achievements deserved appreciation and renewed support at the polls.
Among the notable developments they highlighted was the appointment of General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.) as Chief of Defence Staff and his subsequent appointment as Minister of Defence by President Tinubu, which they described as a significant recognition of Southern Kaduna at the national level.
They also cited the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, the Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan, and the signing into law of legislation establishing the Federal Medical School in Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area.
The duo further commended Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive leadership, stating that his administration had promoted political participation and representation while extending development projects to Southern Kaduna.
They identified road infrastructure, healthcare, education and rural development as key areas in which the state government had demonstrated its commitment to improving the living conditions of residents.
According to them, the governor’s inclusive approach to governance and support for federal institutions in Southern Kaduna are among the reasons the region should support his re-election bid alongside President Tinubu in 2027.
Gaiya and Ashafa called on community leaders, political stakeholders and residents to sustain their engagement with the APC, expressing optimism that continued cooperation with the party would consolidate existing gains and attract more development to the region.
