Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has received the ZIK International Peace and Leadership Award in Ghana for his administration’s achievements in public sector leadership and economic reforms.
Lawal was honoured at the 7th ZIK International Peace and Leadership Award ceremony held on Friday at the British Council in Accra, Ghana.
The award organisers cited what they described as significant progress in public sector leadership and economic reforms in Zamfara State.
Receiving the honour, Lawal dedicated the award to the people of Zamfara and highlighted his administration’s work in infrastructure, security, civil service reform, education and healthcare.
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule was also honoured at the ceremony for his contributions to public service and sustainable development.
