Dr. Sekinah Bola Oyebamiji, wife of the APC governorship candidate, led a delegation to meet with Royal Women of Ife Land at the Adebutu Kensington Hall inside the Ooni’s Palace in Ile Ife, in a campaign outreach themed “Together for Progress.”
The event brought together prominent women across Ife’s traditional and political circles, including Princess Adebukola Bosede Adereti, wife of the Deputy Candidate; Queen of the Ooni, Olori Ashley Folasade Ogunwunsi; Rt Hon Speaker Olubunmi Ete; Hon. Nike Omoworare; Hon. Adeosun Oluwatoyin; Campaign Director-General for Ife Federal Constituency, Barr. Wale Ojo; and APC Women Leader, Alhaja Fakokunde. Representatives of several royal households, including Otutu, Agbedegbede, Adaba, Okoro, and Opa, were also present.
Alhaja Fakokunde used the occasion to call for greater inclusion of women in governance, stressing their importance to the political process.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Bola-Oyebamiji described the candidate as capable and said the party made the right choice in selecting him, citing his track record, work rate, and achievements. She said he has consistently shown care for women, men, children, and both privileged and less privileged citizens across the state.
Among his achievements, she highlighted his asset-acquisition strategy as a form of state investment, as well as the state’s recognition for the most financially transparent administration during his tenure.
In her remarks, the Ooni’s wife, Olori Ashley, commended the candidate’s wife and the entire APC delegation for the visit and extended her gratitude to all the women present.
