U.S. SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND AFRICA COMMENDS OPERATION HADIN KAI, REAFFIRMS STRATEGIC SECURITY PARTNERSHIP

The Commander of the United States Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAFRICA), Major General Claude Tudor, on Thursday 25 June 2026 visited the Headquarters of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri to reinforce the Nigeria–U.S. security partnership. He commended Operation HADIN KAI for its operational progress and described the integration of U.S. Special Operations with the Theatre as a model of effective military cooperation in counter-insurgency operations.

The Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, appreciated the continued U.S. support, noting that the partnership has enhanced both kinetic and non-kinetic operations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening military collaboration, improving operational capabilities, combating terrorism, and promoting regional stability.
