Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with the Yobe State Hunters Group, have arrested five suspected kidnappers during an intelligence-led operation in Jegalari Village, Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State.
According to the military, the operation was carried out on July 23 by troops of the 233 Battalion based at the Damaturu Military Cantonment following credible intelligence on the activities of the suspects. During the raid, troops recovered three locally fabricated AK-47 rifles, one locally made pistol, assorted ammunition and four mobile phones believed to be connected to the suspects’ operations.
The suspects are currently in military custody as investigations continue to determine their involvement in kidnapping and other criminal activities. Operation HADIN KAI reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining intelligence-driven operations against terrorists and criminal groups across the North-East, while urging residents to continue providing timely information to security agencies.
