Ogun State Agro Cargo Airport! A Gateway to Economic Growth
The Ogun State Agro Cargo cargo airport is as a strategic milestone in boosting agricultural exports, trade, and economic development. Commissioned today 4th of April, 2026.
The airport is designed to ease the transportation of farm produce, reduce post-harvest losses, and connect Ogun State directly to international markets.
This project is expected to significantly increase the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through logistics, cargo handling, job creation, and investment opportunities.
It will also attract agribusinesses, exporters, and foreign investors, positioning Ogun State as a major hub for agro-industrial activities in Nigeria.
On a national scale, the airport contributes to Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda by strengthening the agricultural value chain, improving export capacity, and reducing dependence on oil revenue. It is a bold step towards sustainable development, food security, and global competitiveness.
The Ogun Agro Cargo Airport is not just an infrastructure project, but a powerful engine for economic transformation at both state and national levels.
Congratulations to our dear Governor, His Excellency Dapo Abiodun (CON, MFR), the good people of our great state, and Nigerians at large on this remarkable achievement.
