President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for party outreach, engagement and mobilisation, with immediate effect.

The appointment, announced on Tuesday, positions the Kaduna governor to play a central role in coordinating grassroots engagement and strengthening the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s communication and mobilisation structures nationwide.

President Tinubu, who is the leader of the APC, cited Sani’s leadership qualities and organisational capacity as key considerations for the role.

The new assignment will see the governor work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassador programme and the party hierarchy, particularly the APC National Chairman, to promote harmony, inclusiveness and strategic coordination across all tiers of the party’s mobilisation architecture.

According to the President, the Renewed Hope Ambassador structure is designed to deepen public awareness of government programmes and party policies, highlight milestones and achievements, and reinforce confidence in the administration’s agenda across the country.

In a letter conveying the appointment, Tinubu said the objective of the role is to ensure broad national acceptance of the party and its candidates ahead of future electoral contests, stressing that early preparation and structured engagement would be critical to achieving that goal.

He added that Sani’s leadership would be pivotal in guiding the process “effectively and strategically,” with a mandate to galvanise support, expand outreach and consolidate the Renewed Hope message at community, state and national levels.
