President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to give his administration more time to complete its programmes and reforms, saying his government is correcting what he described as the cumulative mistakes and missed opportunities of previous administrations.
Tinubu made the appeal in a message delivered by House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas during a special Juma’at prayer at the National Mosque in Abuja, held as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
The President urged Nigerians not to lose hope, saying his administration believes the country is on the right path and that peace and development would return as the reforms continue.
He also asked citizens to give the government “more opportunity” to complete what he described as its ongoing good work.
