Professor Pat Utomi, a former Chieftain of the Labour Party and renowned political science expert has taken to his official X handle to make a remarkable comment regarding the strength of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

According to his statements, he pointed out that those who counts the vote decide the outcome.

The news regarding the de-recognition of the African Democratic Congress, ADC leadership led by Senator David Mark had triggered massive public reactions, with many blaming the INEC for dancing to the tunes of the APC.

However, professor Pat Utomi, a respected Elderstateman and former Labour Party Chieftain in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, made a striking comment regarding the strength of the electoral umpire.

According to his now viral statements, he pointed out that those who vote decide nothing, but those who count the votes decide everything.

This, according to the renowned professor, was the Stalin effect.

Professor Pat Utomi, widely admired for his outspokenness, pointed out that the INEC chairman, Joash Amupitan had embraced the Stalin (a well known dictator) ideology, and was bent on proving that the people’s votes do not matter.

Professor Joash Amupitan, according to Pat Utomi, was an intellectual whom he held in high esteem, however, he disclosed that he had fallen short of expectations.

“Amupitan’s warm embrace of Stalin is an oddity. Stalin famously said those who vote decide nothing, those who count the vote decide everything.

It seems INEC is bent on proving that. We know Stalin. He was a brutal dictator. We thought Amupitan was an intellectual and Lawyer.” He wrote.
