These two men, Akpabio and Fubara, made certain comments in their speeches at the funeral of the deceased that we believed were distasteful.
Now, it’s making sense.
Read between the lines.
Speaking at the funeral of Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba and son Chizi, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio said, “some politicians have been admitted to hospital on drip since Wigwe d1ed.”
Governor Fubara also said, “This takes me to the next question. This has to do with political class. What is this struggle all about that you want to kill, you want to bury. What is it all about?”
“This is a man, he is not a politician. He made his money through us, our investments. He had the world on his palm financially. He controlled even the political class.”
“But today with all his money he couldn’t control life. Is it not enough for us to ask ourselves why are we struggling? why are we not making impact in the lives of our people?”.
Akpabio in his response said, “Governor Fubara said, what is the struggle all about? Your excellency, Governor Fubara, if there is nothing in the struggle, don’t struggle.”
