The House of Representatives says it is proud of the record-breaking feat of the Flamingos, following their 2-1 victory over Japan to lift the Women’s U-17 World Cup trophy on Saturday night.
In a congratulatory message, Speaker Abbas urges the Nigerian Government to honour the Flamingos, noting that the country must continue to appreciate its talents and their loyalty to the nation.
Speaker Abbas attributed the success of the Flamingos to the resilience of the Nigerian spirit, noting that the average Nigerian is born to break barriers and conquer territories.
