Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Freetown, Sierra Leone, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 69th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government.
The summit, scheduled to hold at the Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre in Freetown, will bring together leaders from across West Africa to discuss key regional issues, including peace, security, democracy, economic growth, and regional integration.
According to Shettima, the meeting will focus on major policy decisions and strategic resolutions aimed at strengthening cooperation among ECOWAS member states and addressing common challenges facing the region.
The Vice President said Nigeria remains committed to working with other West African nations to promote stability, deepen economic ties, and advance sustainable development across the region.
