Vice President Kashim Shettima has represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the commissioning of the Dape District section of Arterial Road N5, Obafemi Awolowo Way, in Abuja.

The road connects Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III and is expected to improve movement across key parts of the Federal Capital Territory.

Delivering the President’s remarks, Shettima said the FCT will continue to evolve into a capital city that reflects Nigeria’s growing population, economic ambition and national identity.

He said the project is part of the administration’s infrastructure-led development agenda aimed at improving transport connectivity, reducing logistics costs, attracting investment and creating jobs.

President Tinubu also urged Abuja residents, business owners and property holders to pay their taxes, land fees and ground rents, saying such compliance helps the FCT Administration deliver more critical infrastructure.

The President commended FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for what he described as rapid infrastructure delivery across the nation’s capital.

The project is also expected to ease traffic around Life Camp Junction and improve access to Dape, Karmo, Gwarinpa, Kado, Idu and Mbora districts.
