Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on Nigerians to continue fostering peace and unity, describing marriage as one of the strongest symbols of national cohesion.

Shettima made the remarks while attending the wedding reception of Nanbam Mutfwang, daughter of Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, and Jeremiah Ayodele in Jos, Plateau State.

According to the Vice President, marriage serves as a reminder that the values uniting Nigerians are stronger than the forces seeking to divide the country.

He urged the people of Plateau State to continue building bridges of peace, mutual understanding, and unity in the collective pursuit of development and lasting progress.

Shettima also prayed for God’s blessings upon the newlyweds, wishing them a happy, enduring, and prosperous marriage, while congratulating both families on the occasion.
