The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the robbery of 36 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area.
According to the police, the suspects were identified as Elkana Ishaya (17), Mubarak Abubakar (22), Musa Umar (30), and another accomplice. They were arrested following an intelligence-led operation after allegedly attacking corps members and dispossessing them of valuables.
Police operatives recovered several exhibits from the suspects, including stolen mobile phones and other items linked to the robbery. The Command said efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang and recover additional stolen property.
The Commissioner of Police assured corps members and residents that the Command remains committed to protecting lives and property, urging the public to continue providing credible information to aid the fight against crime.
