The National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have taken their nationwide town hall engagement to Enugu State, where they restated their commitment to tackling insecurity, corruption and poverty.
Obi disclosed that the meeting followed their engagement in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on October 29. He said supporters and residents turned out in large numbers for the Enugu gathering.
The two leaders also met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Enugu State chapter, shortly before the town hall meeting, where they reaffirmed their commitment to national unity, religious harmony and peaceful coexistence.
Obi said the NDC would prioritise listening to Nigerians, strengthening national security, fighting corruption and investing heavily in critical sectors, particularly healthcare and education, as part of efforts to lift citizens out of poverty.
