Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has appreciated the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, for its support in addressing the current security challenges in the state.
Makinde spoke after receiving a delegation led by the Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdul Suleh, who represented the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, during a courtesy visit.
The governor said surveillance missions carried out by officers of the Nigerian Air Force have provided useful insight into the situation on the ground and the challenges being faced by troops involved in security operations.
Makinde also disclosed that the surveillance aircraft procured by his administration for Oyo State is currently at the Air Force Base in Lagos.
He said the state government looks forward to receiving the assembled aircraft soon, adding that it will be deployed for the security purpose for which it was purchased.
