The Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Hon. Jasper Adeleye has declared that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s eligibility status will be a decisive factor in determining how the All Progressives Congress (APC) handles its zoning strategy for the 2028 Ondo State governorship race.
Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja regarding early political alignments, Adeleye noted that while discussions surrounding 2028 are gaining momentum, the immediate political imperative for the party must remain delivering a total victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
However, addressing the dynamics of the 2028 governorship race, the presidential aide emphasized that the governor’s status remains pivotal to how power-sharing discussions evolve across the state’s senatorial districts.
