The National Spokesperson of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Theo Abu Agada has reacted to the comment that was made by an X user that the party won’t exist after the 2027 presidential election.
The reaction of Theo Abu Agada was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
This is coming after the X user stated that the party will only exist if Peter Obi wins the presidential election.
The X user wrote;
“What is certain is that the NDC will not exist after the 2027 elections, unless it wins the presidential election. If it loses the number one position, for which all its aggrieved members appear to keep calm while feeling hard done by, even those who win in other positions will defect before the end of next year”.
However, Theo Abu Agada has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he disagreed with the comment. He said the NDC will not allow mischievous elements to undermine the party.
Here is what Theo Abu Agada wrote on his official X handle;
“We will not allow mischievous elements like you to undermine a political party we laboured to build. You may see it as a mere vehicle to grab power and dump, but some of us see it as an institution rooted in ideology for a better and working Nigeria”.
