The Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Saidu Audu, has visited the Headquarters of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) in Maiduguri, Borno State, as part of efforts to strengthen joint military operations against terrorism in the North-East.

During the operational visit, Major General Audu held strategic meetings with senior military officers and received detailed briefings on ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the region. He said the purpose of the visit was to deepen collaboration, improve joint operational strategies, and generate new ideas aimed at achieving greater success against insurgent groups operating around the Lake Chad Basin.

The MNJTF commander stressed that stronger cooperation between regional forces remains the most effective way to defeat terrorist elements and deny them freedom of movement across borders. He also praised Operation HADIN KAI for what he described as significant progress in reducing insurgency activities in the North-East.

In his remarks, the Theatre Commander of Operation HADIN KAI, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, described the visit as timely and strategic, noting that enhanced synergy between OPHK and MNJTF would improve regional security, protect lives and property, and support economic activities within the Lake Chad region.

The visit featured operational briefings, interactive sessions with military commanders, inspection of a Quarter Guard, exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs involving senior officers from both military formations.
