The Kaduna State Ministry of Health says it has intensified efforts to strengthen preparedness and response to emerging and re-emerging diseases through a Rapid Response Team meeting involving relevant ministries, agencies and development partners.

The meeting focused on improving collaboration, coordination and timely response to potential public health threats, with all response pillars activated.

The State Epidemiologist, Dr Jeremiah Daikwo, urged pillar leaders to remain on standby and maintain high alertness through proactive planning, effective communication and swift action in the event of an outbreak.

The meeting reaffirmed the state’s commitment to coordinated disease surveillance, prevention, preparedness and response to protect public health.
