The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, June 20, 2026, for the conduct of by-elections across six states of the federation. The elections will be held alongside the Ekiti State governorship election scheduled for the same day.
According to INEC, the by-elections will fill vacant legislative seats, including senatorial positions in Enugu, Nasarawa, Rivers, and Ondo states, as well as a House of Representatives seat in Kano and a State House of Assembly seat in Kebbi.
