IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu and Nigerian music star Burna Boy have discussed stronger collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the creative industry to rebuild public trust and improve the image of the Police.
During their meeting, both explored how Nigeria’s entertainment industry can help strengthen relations between the Police and citizens, particularly young Nigerians. Disu said the engagement aligns with his administration’s efforts to work with stakeholders to reposition the Police and build greater public confidence.
The IGP also highlighted the potential of the creative sector and Orange Economy to shape conversations, bridge divides and foster better understanding between the Police and communities.
Burna Boy expressed support for the initiative and willingness to contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Police and Nigerians.
The meeting underscores the Police’s broader approach to rebuilding public confidence through partnerships with the creative industry, young people, media, civil society and other stakeholders.
