If Nafiu Bala Say His Signature Was Forged It Then Means I Forge It He Should Take Me To Court—Nwosu

Founder of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Ralph Nwosu, has responded to allegations raised by Nafiu Bala, who claimed that his signature was forged on a resignation document, insisting that the matter should be addressed through proper legal and institutional channels.

Speaking in an interview, Nwosu said the accusation is a serious one and should not be treated lightly or discussed purely in the public space without verification.

He maintained that if Bala truly believes his signature was forged, then the appropriate step would be to seek redress in court rather than escalate the matter through public claims.

According to him, such disputes typically involve either party officials or the individual in question, and the judicial system remains the most suitable avenue for determining the truth.

He emphasized that allegations of forgery must be proven through due process rather than speculation or internal disagreements.

“If Nafiu Bala says that his signature was forged, it then means either I forged the signature, he should take me to court or if it is the secretary that forged the signature, then they can take us to court,” he stated.

Nwosu further stressed that the ongoing controversy should not overshadow the official workings of the party, noting that the African Democratic Congress operates under a constitutional framework that guides its decisions and internal procedures.

He argued that leadership actions taken within the party structure remain valid unless proven otherwise through established legal mechanisms.

He also noted that disputes of this nature are not unusual in political organisations, especially during periods marked by leadership transitions, restructuring, or coalition discussions.

According to him, such moments often generate misunderstandings that require clarification through formal processes.

The ADC founder urged members of the party to remain calm and avoid drawing premature conclusions while awaiting clarification of the issue. He encouraged stakeholders to allow legal procedures, where necessary, to determine the authenticity of the claims being made.

Nwosu’s comments come at a time when the party has experienced internal tensions, with reports of resignations and disagreements emerging amid broader discussions about possible political realignments and coalition arrangements.

While Bala has insisted that his signature was forged, the party leadership has rejected any suggestion of procedural wrongdoing.

He reiterated that leadership decisions within the ADC were taken in accordance with the party’s constitution and should be respected unless successfully challenged through due process.

Nwosu also cautioned against the spread of unverified claims, warning that such narratives could undermine unity and distract from the party’s objectives.
