Hadiza Bala Usman, special adviser to the president on policy and coordination, says Nigeria’s development aspirations will remain constrained unless governments at all levels intentionally expand opportunities for the empowerment, inclusion and emergence of women in leadership.
Usman spoke in Abuja at the 2026 Young Women’s Leadership Conference (YWLC), organised by the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC).
