The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, convened a high-level strategic meeting with distinguished former governors of the state at the Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.
According to a post shared on his official Instagram account the meeting focused on critical issues affecting the well-being, welfare, progress, and overall prosperity of the people of Plateau State.
The engagement also reviewed the prevailing security situation across the state, with particular emphasis on recent violent attacks in rural communities. Governor Mutfwang and the former leaders held extensive discussions on practical measures to foster sustainable peace, strengthen unity, and promote harmonious coexistence among residents.
The participants collectively expressed concern over the security challenges and underscored the need for coordinated efforts to restore stability and rebuild affected communities.
At the end of the meeting, the leaders resolved to pursue justice for victims of the attacks and to establish strong frameworks that reflect the enduring values of courage, discipline, hospitality, and patriotism associated with the people of Plateau State.
They also emphasized the importance of rebuilding fractured relationships and restoring trust among communities, with the goal of reinforcing the state’s long-standing identity as the “Home of Peace and Prosperity” within Nigeria.
