A move aimed at strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has been made by Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
Already a meeting has been held at the Kasarawa Conference Centre, that brought together party executives, elected local government chairmen, vice chairmen and councillors from across the 23 LGAs of the state.
While addressing the participants, Governor Aliyu said the meeting was to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to brainstorm on key party affairs with a view to reinforcing unity, deepening internal democracy and enhancing effective grassroots governance in the state.
It also focused on reviewing the recent concluded party membership registration exercise, as well as the ward and local government congresses that produced new officers at various levels ” he added.
Governor Aliyu however urged all stakeholders to remain calm and loyal and united in order to move the ruling APC and the state forward.
