The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has dismissed viral social media reports alleging an influx of Fulani herdsmen in Anguwan Dobi, Gwagwalada, describing the claims as misleading and unverified.

In a statement, the Command says Police operatives were immediately deployed to the area and adjoining communities following the circulation of the videos online.

According to the statement, investigations and patrols conducted in the affected areas did not reveal any unusual gathering, suspicious movement, or security threat as claimed in the reports.

The Command, however, noted that monitoring and investigations are ongoing to fully ascertain the facts surrounding the situation.

Police authorities reassured residents of their commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging members of the public to remain calm and continue their lawful activities without fear.

It also advises residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the FCT Police emergency lines.
