Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.), has met with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force as part of efforts to strengthen national security and improve coordination among security agencies.
The engagement focused on enhancing military-police operational cooperation, improving intelligence sharing, eliminating operational overlaps, and establishing clearer frameworks for joint security planning and response.
General Musa said closer collaboration among security institutions is critical to tackling terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other emerging threats across the country.
He noted that a secure nation requires security agencies that work in synergy, stressing that coordinated action, timely information exchange and shared commitment remain essential to safeguarding lives, securing communities and preserving national stability.
