The Dangote Group says it is exploring opportunities to expand its industrial investments into Egypt, in what could be a significant step in its pan-African growth strategy.
The move follows a visit to the Dangote Industries complex in Lagos by a high-level Egyptian delegation led by the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Dr Mohamed Saleh. The delegation included officials from Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and senior executives from the country’s oil and petrochemical industry.
Aliko Dangote described the visit as a symbol of African economic integration. “It reflects our belief that African businesses must invest across the continent to accelerate industrialisation and economic development,” he said.
