The Civil Society Coalition has formally called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to decline any form of recognition or validation of Dapo Abiodun for future electoral participation.

The Coalition’s petition raises serious concerns surrounding alleged criminal records, unresolved issues relating to identity inconsistencies, and controversies linked to academic and personal credentials.

According to the group, these matters, if left unaddressed, pose significant risks to the integrity of Nigeria’s democratic processes.

The Coalition emphasized that Independent National Electoral Commission has a constitutional responsibility to ensure that only candidates who meet the highest standards of legality, transparency, and credibility are recognized and cleared for public office.

They further urged the Commission to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations and act decisively in line with the law to safeguard public trust and democratic values.
