A Nigerian Army commander has urged troops deployed in the North-East to sustain pressure on terrorist groups as part of ongoing counter-insurgency operations.

The commander charged the soldiers to remain vigilant, disciplined, and committed in the fight against Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), stressing the importance of maintaining operational momentum.

He also commended the troops for their resilience and sacrifices, encouraging them to continue working closely with other security agencies to restore lasting peace and security in the region.

The directive comes as the military continues operations aimed at dismantling terrorist enclaves, protecting communities, and improving security across the North-East.
