According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, August 6, 2026, Dr. Ben Nwoye, the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that the outcome of the 2027 general election will be determined by verifiable achievements rather than political rhetoric.
He maintained that while the ruling party does not seek to dismiss the opposition, electoral success depends on presenting tangible results to the electorate instead of making loud public claims.
He explained that elections are won through evidence of performance and not by creating unnecessary political excitement.
According to him, the APC remains focused on highlighting its record in government and encouraging members to engage voters with facts that demonstrate the party’s accomplishments at both the federal and state levels.
Nwoye urged members of the APC to remain confident in promoting the administration’s achievements, stressing that there are enough completed and ongoing initiatives to attract public support.
He said party faithful should rely on concrete evidence when interacting with voters ahead of the next general election rather than engaging in verbal confrontations with political opponents.
The APC chieftain made the remarks on Wednesday while addressing participants at the Enugu Youth Summit.
The gathering brought together young people from different parts of Enugu State to discuss issues relating to governance, leadership, and political participation as preparations gradually begin ahead of the 2027 elections.
During his address, Nwoye highlighted some of the programmes introduced by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He pointed to initiatives designed to improve access to higher education, noting that students facing financial challenges now have opportunities to continue their education through government-backed support schemes.
He maintained that the ruling party possesses enough evidence of its performance to convince Nigerians to support it in future elections.
He encouraged APC members to remain focused on communicating these achievements to the public, insisting that presenting factual records of governance would be more effective than engaging in political arguments or relying on publicity alone.
“Lawyers will say, the fact speaks for itself; APC has magical achievements both in Enugu and at the federal level.
“At the national level, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, students who cannot go to school owing to lack of finance, now they can go to school, you can borrow money one hundred percent and go to school. I’m saying this so we don’t leave here without facts,” Nwoye declared.
