The absence of former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, on Tuesday stalled his trial before an Ikeja Special Offences Court.
Mr Emefiele and his co-defendant, Henry Omoile, are standing trial before the court over alleged gratification, corrupt demands, abuse of office and unlawful acceptance of gifts.
Mr Emefiele is facing a 19-count charge of alleged gratification, corrupt demands and abuse of office involving transactions valued at $4.5 billion and N2.8 billion.
