The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has rejected the investigation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) into the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) scandal, calling instead for the establishment of an independent judicial panel.
The party argued that only a judicial panel can conduct a credible, transparent, and impartial investigation into the controversy surrounding the alleged ₦1.3 billion budget allocation linked to the purported agency.
According to the ADC, the scale of the allegations requires an independent inquiry capable of establishing the facts and restoring public confidence in the investigation process.
The PFIPC controversy has continued to generate nationwide attention, with growing calls from various quarters for accountability and transparency in the handling of public funds.
