A committee set up to reconcile feuding factions of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kogi State held a consultative meeting Wednesday with a senior national party officer in Abuja, as it continues a peace mission aimed at restoring unity in the state chapter.
The Kogi State Peace and Reconciliation Committee visited Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, the APC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, at his residence in the federal capital. The committee is chaired by a former Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada.
Opening the meeting, Wada, who represented by former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, said the committee had so far engaged 52 prominent indigenes of the state in its ongoing consultations.
