The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has presented its 2027 electoral candidates, including the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and governorship candidate, Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, to the leadership of Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organisation Worldwide, seeking its prayers, blessings and fatherly counsel ahead of the general elections.
The delegation, led by the Rivers State ADC Chairman, Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, also presented the party’s senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates of Ikwerre extraction.
The visit to the apex socio-cultural organisation of the Ikwerre ethnic nationality also provided an opportunity for the party to formally introduce Amaechi, a former Rivers State Governor and Minister of Transportation, whose candidacy as running mate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on the ADC presidential ticket has placed an Ikwerre son in contention for the nation’s second-highest political office.
